Image Enhancement and Compositing for Print and the Internet

Enhancement of photographs can remove scratches, correct color balance, sharpen a fuzzy image, brighten or darken an image, remove unwanted elements (telephone poles, etc.), apply textures, plus more.
Compositing an image builds layers to your images to add new elements that weren't in the original.

A request was made for a photo, featuring desert sports activities. A dynamic action shot was required, combining the desert environment and a graphic sport activity.

This project called for an image compositing solution, combining several graphic elements, for an effective communication of the client's message.
Our challenge is to make an attractive and compelling image with many different elements that are dynamic and fleeting.
The location was chosen for great sand dunes, sports activities, and a beautiful skyline. The ATV rider is in a location that we haven't chosen or staged. The best sand dune is found and photographed, but it isn't under the preferred deep blue sky. The best blue sky is located and then photographed from the right angle.
The resulting composite image is compelling, communicating our desert landscape, beautiful weather, and an exciting sporting activity in a dynamic setting.

The quality required for print media is higher then for the Internet. Elements designed strictly for the internet may not be suitable for print.
